Face and Flowers

I created this 5×7 Canvas to enter into the Flying Unicorn Face Challenge they have going on their forum. The requirements were mixed media and a face. I can draw, paint, create a lot of things….except faces. People, animals, any faces, they just never come out right. The eyes are crooked or they always look surprised. Not to mention droopy eyed. So to play it safe I used an image from Unity Stamp Company (which I love) to stamp the face. Then I punched out what seemed like a million little flowers. Spray ink and sponge inked them. Then used a stylus to roll the petals so they stood up. I glued each one on and added rhinestones randomly for a pop of color and sparkle. I love the way she came out. I’d love to hear from you!
